With the support of North Blenheim Mutual we were able to provide kits and teach students at both Plattsville Christian and Plattsville & District Public School to crochet and the importance of Remembrance and community participation.
With the support of the Township of Blandford-Blenheim we were able to expand our project into Drumbo and Princeton, including displays for our four fire stations, community cenotaphs and public buildings. Crochet kits were provided to the Princeton Library too.
We look forward to sharing these Remembrance displays in support of those who gave all, those who served past, present and future, and the families that support them. We hope you will honour our veterans by visiting these displays come November.
With the generous donation of quilts and afghans we held a Silent Auction on Plattsville's Community Day. We raised $1100 for the Legion Poppy Fund from the Silent Auction and crochet poppy pins. Thanks everyone for your support!
