APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 1st!

The Plattsville & District Heritage Society is inviting families and businesses to sponsor a memorial banner in honour of a Veteran. The goal of the initiative is to engage our local community to honour and remember Veterans. All deceased and living Veterans who served for Canada/UK and their allies may be honoured.
Each banner will highlight a specific person and will be hung in Plattsville and Bright annually. This is not limited to Veterans from Plattsville and area – you can sponsor one for a Veteran who lived elsewhere.
Each banner will display:

An original photo or high resolution scan of the Veteran, in uniform if available
Rank and Name of the Veteran
The era of service (WWI, WWII, etc.)
The branch and regiment of the military
The years served (optional)
The sponsor of the banner

Each banner will be double-sided vinyl in full colour and should last 10 years or more. The banners will be hung along Albert Street in Plattsville and Baird & John Streets, Bright from mid-October to the end of November and then stored in cardboard tubes at the Chesterfield Museum.
The sponsorship cost is $150 per banner. The due date for applications for 2024 is August 1, 2024. Please complete the application form, attach an original photo and cheque made payable to The Plattsville & District Heritage Society and place it in the mailbox at 45 Mill Street W., Plattsville or deliver to one of the Committee members below.
